Life and Family
Derek O’Kelly was a beloved figure within his family and community. He is survived by his wife, Maeve (née Kenehan), and his children: twin daughters Ashling and Ivana, as well as Eleanor, Derek Jnr., Redmond, and Ruth. He also leaves behind a grandson, Connor, and a son-in-law, James.
His extended family includes brothers Emmett and Neil, and sisters Jeanette and Brenda. He is further remembered by brothers-in-law Ed, Doug, and Padraig; sisters-in-law Marie and Cora; and several nephews and nieces, including Corrine, Laura, Graeme, and Emily.
Derek was predeceased by his first wife, Mary (née Geraghty) of Swinford, and his nephew, Tony Manson of Dublin.
Community and Professional Ties
Beyond his family, Derek maintained strong bonds with a wide circle of friends and colleagues. He is fondly remembered by his former Garda colleagues and his many friends within the golfing community. Among those who will deeply miss him are Brian McGranaghan, Mary, Damian, Brendan, Roy, Tom, Martin, and Jim, as well as the extended Geraghty family.

- Final Rites: A private cremation will follow the repose.
