Longleaf Pine Ecosystem Protection at Birdsong Nature Center

Founded in 1986, Birdsong Nature Center operates as a nonprofit conservation and environmental education organization sitting on more than 500 acres. The preserve encompasses longleaf pine forests, native grasslands, wetlands, and diverse wildlife habitats located near the Florida-Georgia line at 2106 Meridian Road.

The center dedicates much of its operation to restoring and stewarding longleaf pine ecosystems, which rank among the most diverse and imperiled natural communities in the American Southeast.
