The Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy and Bayern International are organizing a delegation trip to Japan, which will take place from July 12th to 18th, 2026. The focus of the trip is on the exchange of current developments, concrete applications and cooperation opportunities in the field of robotics for the health and care industry.
Japan is considered very advanced in many areas of healthcare robotics, particularly nursing robotics and surgical robotics, and is one of the leading nations in the development and application of robots, automation and digitalization.
In view of demographic change, Japan, like many other industrialized countries, is facing major challenges that require innovative technological solutions. The growing demand for senior-friendly products and services opens up a variety of opportunities to improve the quality of life of older people. Robotics and automated systems play a central role in serving the so-called “silver market” and addressing the shortage of skilled workers in nursing.
The delegation trip is aimed at players from the healthcare industry (including MedTech companies, representatives of clusters, research and hospitals) as well as production and robotics who have interest in and expertise in the following areas:
-
Care, service, surgical robots, humanoid robots, exoskeletons
-
Automation solutions, transport systems for clinics
-
Digital solutions in the area of robotics and automation
-
intelligent (AI-supported) assistance systems
-
Eldercare products and services
You can get yours until February 27, 2026 Express interest in the delegation trip .
