The investigation centers on a playschool located in Delhi’s Maujpur area, according to reports by Times Now. Police arrested the 35-year-old school nanny following a formal complaint filed by the child’s parents.
Authorities stated that another teacher allegedly involved in the incident is currently absconding. Police teams are working to trace and arrest the suspect while examining school closed-circuit television recordings and reviewing the operational oversight provided by the facility’s administration.
Acute Distress and Critical ENT Findings
The incident surfaced after the child began displaying acute distress, according to reporting by News18. The boy’s parents noticed that he grew unusually agitated, cried uncontrollably during the night, and expressed intense fear of using the washroom.
According to Times Now, the family took the child to a pediatrician on August 18 after he returned home vomiting and feeling dizzy. A subsequent examination by an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist revealed that the boy’s eardrums were severely swollen and at risk of rupturing. Confronted with these medical findings, the family questioned the playschool management, which initially denied any wrongdoing before the family accessed internal camera footage.
CCTV Captures Torture as Parents Demand Accountability
Navneet Chaudhary, the victim’s father, stated that video footage from the school showed his son tied to a chair with an apron, repeatedly kicked, beaten, and subjected to having his ears pulled violently by staff members. Chaudhary criticized the school administration for failing to protect enrolled children.
“I hold the management, the owners and the principal responsible for this as well,” Chaudhary told Times Now. “When you monitor the CCTV footage daily, don’t you have a duty to actually look at what is happening to the children?”
The family has called for legal action against all staff members and administrative personnel linked to the facility. Police continue to review evidence and question school representatives as the inquiry proceeds.
