Job Opportunity: Design Engineer – Electrical Transformers (Hitachi Energy, Greater China)
About the Role:
Hitachi Energy’s Transformer Business in Greater China is a leading manufacturer with a notable local presence (55 cities, 1900+ employees, 5 plants). we’re looking for a skilled Design engineer to contribute to the design and progress of electrical transformers – essential components for a wide range of industries including power, oil & gas, and data centers. This role focuses on creating detailed designs using CAD software and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
* Create 2D/3D designs and technical documentation for transformer components.
* Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and R&D to optimize designs.
* Perform design validation through calculations and simulations.
* Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure design compliance with standards (IEC,ANSI).
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain organized design records.
* Uphold Hitachi Energy’s commitment to safety and integrity.
What We’re Looking For:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
* 2+ years of experience in mechanical/electrical design, ideally in the power or transformer industry.
* Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA).
* Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing.
* Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, ANSI) is a plus.
* Excellent problem-solving,communication,and teamwork skills.
* English proficiency preferred.
