Maurice Moitroux will take over as the new head of marketing for consumer products at Deutsche Telekom on January 1, 2027, succeeding Michael Falkensteiner. Deutsche Telekom confirmed the executive appointment to teltarif.de, following an internal realignment of the company’s marketing communication division responsible for mobile, fixed-network, and MagentaTV products.
Moitroux transitions to the German telecommunications giant from Swiss luxury watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen, where he has worked since 2013. In his most recent role as Global Brand Marketing Director, he managed worldwide brand marketing operations. His background at the watchmaker also includes leading digital marketing, advertising, media, and digital communication departments. Prior to joining IWC Schaffhausen, Moitroux worked from 2010 to 2013 as a senior project manager at the agency Jung von Matt/Alster.
Leadership Changes in Telekom Marketing
The incoming marketing chief steps into a role tasked with overseeing the overarching market entry strategy and synchronizing communication channels along the customer journey. Moitroux follows Michael Falkensteiner, who moved to Telekom from o2 Telefónica in 2024 and left the company in January 2026. Following Falkensteiner’s departure, Sven Grümer managed the division on an interim basis while retaining his primary responsibilities as head of media and launch and lifecycle management.

Strategic Outlook and Broader Network Developments
Deutsche Telekom has not yet issued a formal public press release regarding the appointment, though a company spokesperson verified the executive move to industry publication teltarif.de. The transition aligns with ongoing operational updates at the carrier, which recently expanded its multiorbit IoT roaming capabilities through a partnership with Iridium’s global satellite network.
