DEUTZ AG and the German sports Aid Foundation (Sporthilfe) have announced a new partnership focused on the holistic progress of young German athletes. The collaboration aims to provide thorough support, encompassing athletic training, education, and career readiness, ensuring a sustainable future for rising sports stars.
A Commitment to Dual Careers
According to sporthilfe, Karsten Petry, responsible for marketing, sales, and events at Sporthilfe, emphasized the partnership as “a strong and at the same time forward-looking signal for the promotion of young talent in top German sport.” he highlighted the innovative approach of combining business and sport to support young athletes holistically, with a particular focus on the dual career path and a smooth transition to the next performance level.
The newly created “Moving Talents” funding program will provide direct and unbureaucratic support to Germany’s most promising athletes. This funding will support their dual careers, balancing athletic pursuits with education and professional development. Beyond financial assistance,the partnership will offer athletes opportunities to explore career paths outside of sports through exchanges,individual career advice,and internships. This benefits both athletes, by providing post-career prospects, and companies, by tapping into a pool of talent often overlooked by customary recruitment processes.
Supporting the Next Generation of Champions
DEUTZ AG will also serve as an event partner for the annual “Sporthilfe Junior Athletes” award ceremony, Germany’s most prestigious recognition for young athletic talent. Established in 1978, the award has previously honored sports icons such as Michael Gross (1981), Franziska van Almsick (1992), Timo Boll (1997), Maria Riesch (2004), and Magdalena Neuner (2007 & 2008). In 2025,rower Mads Birkholz received the award.
Both DEUTZ and Sporthilfe share a commitment to supporting young talent not only in their athletic endeavors but also in their educational and professional journeys. This holistic approach aims to lay a strong foundation for success both in competitive sports and beyond.
