A catastrophic flash flood triggered by a glacial collapse along the Nepal-Tibet border has killed over 300 people and left more than 1,000 missing, according to disaster response officials. The disaster struck on Wednesday, sending a massive wall of mud, rock, and water tearing through the Himalayan region and destroying critical infrastructure.

Meanwhile, South Korea announced it is negotiating with Kathmandu after Nepal initially declined foreign rescue assistance.
