Public Vote Winners Reveal Global Design Trends
Fourteen interiors projects have won the public vote for the Dezeen Awards 2026, capturing reader favorites across global categories ranging from residential renovations to workplace design. Dezeen reported that the public vote ran from 28 September to 16 October, drawing from a 392-strong shortlist spanning the program’s primary sectors. The winning projects include a Berlin co-working space offering an alternative to standard office desks, a family-friendly cafe in Toronto, and a Kyiv workplace featuring vintage furnishings and leftover paint swatches.
The public vote operates independently from the main judging process, where a panel of industry-leading judges assesses entries. The interiors jury for this year’s awards includes designers Jaime Hayon, Tekla Evelina Severin, Julien Sebban, Smita Thomas, Benni Allan, and Wendy Saunders. Christopher Cronin, vice president of architecture and design at Trimble SketchUp, described the shortlisted interiors as a brilliant showcase turning ambitious ideas into spaces people actually want to experience.
