During the Silverstone round, Di Giannantonio finished directly ahead of reigning world champion Marc Márquez but failed to match the pace set by Márquez’s brother, Álex Márquez. The result leaves Di Giannantonio fifth in the MotoGP riders’ world championship standings. He sits 41 points behind championship leader Jorge Martín and just 10 points shy of second place, keeping him in contention for the upper tier of the standings.
