Discord Expands Nitro Value with New Rewards Program
Discord is evolving its premium subscription model, moving beyond platform-specific enhancements to offer tangible external benefits. The introduction of Nitro Rewards marks a strategic shift for the communication platform, integrating gaming subscriptions and hardware discounts into the existing Nitro package without increasing the monthly cost.
The rollout of Nitro Rewards is happening gradually over the coming weeks. Once active, subscribers can access these new perks through the Nitro Home section of their accounts, though availability may vary based on regional eligibility.
Xbox Game Pass Starter Now Included
The most significant addition to the program is the inclusion of the Xbox Game Pass Starter Edition. This partnership allows Nitro members to access a rotating library of more than 50 games available across both PC and Xbox consoles. To lower the barrier to entry, Discord is providing 10 hours of cloud gaming, allowing users to stream select titles without needing to download them first.

Enhancing the Orbs Ecosystem
Discord is also boosting its internal economy for Nitro users. Subscribers will now receive 250 Orbs every month simply for maintaining an active subscription. An “Orbs Multiplier” has been introduced, which increases the amount of Orbs users earn through regular Quests.
These Orbs serve as a digital currency that can be spent in the Discord Shop to acquire profile cosmetics and other digital rewards, allowing users to further personalize their presence on the platform.
