Kaiserslautern, Germany – Metal opera Dispyria, the creation of Juergen Walzer, is gearing up for the release of its new studio album, “Redemption I,” on February 20, 2026. The release will be celebrated with a special CD release concert at the Kammgarn Kaiserslautern casino on the same date.
A New Chapter in the Dispyria Saga
“Redemption I” marks the beginning of a two-part epic, continuing the story that began with the battle between Josh Devon and Aelyrea. The narrative introduces new characters – Scrumgrot, David Young, and Saephraenya – alongside returning figures like the Professor and the legendary Red Wolf. The album explores themes of light versus shadow, hope, and damnation. Grande Rock reports that Scrumgrot, awakened by Aelyrea’s last kiss, aims to destroy the balance of the worlds.

Juergen Walzer, a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, and media designer from Kaiserslautern, is the creative force behind Dispyria. He founded the band Superior in 1986, drawing inspiration from Iron Maiden, Ayreon, and Savatage.
