Algerian singer-songwriter Djazia Satour will perform at La Lanterne Magique in Beaune, France, on April 3, 2026, presenting her latest album, El Hourriya (La Liberté). The concert promises a unique blend of Algerian musical traditions, blues influences, and contemporary pop sounds.

A Unique Musical Collaboration

Satour will be accompanied by pianist Pierre-Luc Jamain, creating a duo that expands beyond the traditional piano-voice format. The performance will feature the unexpected addition of the bendir, a traditional Algerian frame drum played by Satour herself, adding a rhythmic depth to the compositions. Beaune Tourism describes the collaboration as a meeting of sensibilities, with improvisations and a sound that defies easy categorization.
