Dollar General Expands with 450 New Stores in 2026

Dollar General announced Thursday it will open hundreds of new U.S. stores in 2026. This move continues the discount retailer’s aggressive expansion, especially in rural areas.

During the company’s third-quarter 2025 earnings call, Dollar General revealed plans to open approximately 450 new U.S. stores.They’re also planning about 10 new stores in Mexico, alongside roughly 20 relocations and 4,250 store remodels.
