Dolphins Add Veteran Receiver Tutu Atwell, Cornerback Marco Wilson in Free Agency

The Miami Dolphins are bolstering their roster with the addition of wide receiver Tutu Atwell and cornerback Marco Wilson, both agreeing to terms with the team on Thursday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Tutu Atwell Returns Home to Miami

Atwell, 26, joins the Dolphins on a one-year deal, returning to his hometown of Miami. Drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams, Atwell spent the first five seasons of his career with the team. Dolphins Wire reports that Atwell earned All-ACC honors in his final two seasons at Louisville before being drafted.

In 64 regular-season games with the Rams, Atwell recorded 105 catches for 1,535 yards and five touchdowns. He signed a one-year, $10 million contract with the Rams in March 2025, but his 2025 season was limited to six receptions for 192 yards and one touchdown, including an 88-yard touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts, which was the longest reception in the league that year. The Rams’ increased use of 13 personnel (three tight ends) contributed to his reduced playing time.

Marco Wilson Adds Depth to the Secondary

Wilson, 27, comes to Miami after appearing in four games for the Cincinnati Bengals last season. A fourth-round pick in 2021, Wilson has totaled 20 passes defensed with three interceptions in 64 career games.

Dolphins’ Receiver Room

Atwell joins a wide receiver group that includes Jaylen Waddle, Malik Washington, Tahj Washington, Theo Wease Jr., Terrace Marshall and A.J. Henning. The Dolphins recently released Tyreek Hill and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and Cedrick Wilson Jr. And Dee Eskridge remain unsigned.
