Dominican Hitters Shine in MLB Power Rankings for 2026

The talent of Dominican hitters was prominently displayed during the 2025 season and in several matches of the World Baseball Classic 2026. Four Dominican players feature in the Power Rankings of Hitters for the start of the 2026 campaign, a list compiled with input from 14 Major League Baseball writers.

Juan Soto Leads the Charge

Juan Soto is ranked number three, following a season that showcased both speed and power. He hit 43 home runs, stole 38 bases, and finished third in the National League Most Valuable Player voting. Soto will be entering his second season with the Novel York Mets, aiming to start strong from day one.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Follows Closely

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Occupies the fourth position. The first baseman is focused on hitting 30 or more home runs again, after hitting 23 in the previous season, while maintaining a strong offensive line of .292/.381/.467. Guerrero Jr. Played a key role in the Toronto Blue Jays’ run to the 2025 World Series.

Jose Ramirez: Goals Within Reach

Jose Ramirez appears at number nine on the list, with several milestones within reach in 2026. He needs 15 home runs to reach 300, 13 stolen bases to reach 300, two doubles to reach 400, and 51 RBIs to reach 1,000.

Junior Caminero Joins the Top Ten

Junior Caminero shares the tenth spot with Nick Kurtz. Caminero hit 45 home runs and drove in 110 runs in 2025. He is expected to bring that power to Tropicana Field with the Tampa Bay Rays.

Other Notable Players

The rest of the top ten includes Shohei Ohtani (number one), the reigning National League MVP, who led the Major Leagues in runs scored, bases reached, OBP, and OPS. Aaron Judge, the American League MVP, is second, having hit 53 home runs and driven in 114 runs.
