Donegal Man Claims €500,000 EuroMillions Plus Prize
A lucky Donegal resident is set to enjoy a “holiday of a lifetime” after claiming a €500,000 prize in the EuroMillions Plus draw. The winning ticket was purchased at Harkin’s Gala on the Donegal Road in Ballybofey on March 10th, 2026.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, reportedly remained remarkably calm upon discovering his win. He shared that his wife was the first to find out, and his initial reaction surprised her. “I am definitely feeling the excitement more sitting here, there’s no denying that this is real now!” he said.
The winner plans to leverage the prize money for a significant holiday and home renovations. “A holiday of a lifetime is the one thing that we keep going back to, so I think that’ll be the first thing we do. Making memories is key! After that, there’s a list of home renovations that we plan to do,” he stated.
