Central Lombok DPRD Member’s Name Draws Comparisons to Warkop DKI

A member of the Central Lombok Regency DPRD in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has unexpectedly become a topic of conversation after being appointed to replace a colleague involved in a corruption case.

The member’s name – Dono Kasino Indro – strikingly resembles the names of the three iconic members of the legendary Indonesian comedy group Warkop DKI. However, Dono is a single individual, a PKS (Prosperous Justice Party) legislator.

Dono was appointed to fill the seat vacated by Mahrup, who faced legal issues. He secured the second-highest number of votes in the 2024 simultaneous elections, making him the natural successor.
