Flavor Fest: DC’s Digital Restaurant Week Kicks Off, Offering Discounts on DoorDash

Washington, D.C. – Starting today, February 19, 2026, Flavor Fest, the District’s first digital restaurant week, is underway. The 20-day event, a collaboration between Mayor Muriel Bowser, the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), and DoorDash, aims to boost visibility and support for local restaurants across the DMV (D.C., Maryland, and Virginia).

What is Flavor Fest?

Flavor Fest is designed to celebrate the diverse food culture of the DMV and encourage residents to discover neighborhood restaurants through the DoorDash delivery platform. The event highlights over 300 local restaurants throughout the region, with nearly 100 participating locations within the District of Columbia itself. The initiative is a key part of the city’s efforts to support its vibrant restaurant and hospitality industry, which employs over 60,000 people across 2,500+ establishments in D.C.

How to Participate and Unlock Discounts

To take advantage of Flavor Fest’s deals, customers need to place three delivery orders from participating local restaurants on DoorDash between February 19th and March 11th, 2026. This will unlock a 50% discount on their next order. The discount applies to a minimum subtotal of $12, with a maximum discount of $10.

Important Restrictions:

  • The discount is valid only for orders placed within the DMV region, including Washington, D.C., Prince George’s County, Montgomery County, Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax County, Loudoun County, and Prince William County.
  • The offer is not valid for pickup orders.
  • Alcohol purchases are excluded from the promotion.
  • The offer is limited to one discount per person.
  • Terms and conditions apply.

Investment in Local Restaurants

DoorDash is investing over $700,000 in promotions and advertising to support the participating restaurants during Flavor Fest. This investment aims to increase visibility for these businesses and drive customer engagement.

A Boost for the DMV Economy

Mayor Bowser’s office emphasized that Flavor Fest seeks to celebrate the DMV’s diverse food culture and increase visibility for neighborhood establishments on DoorDash. The event is expected to provide a significant boost to the local economy by encouraging residents to support their favorite restaurants and discover new culinary gems.
