Autopsies on the three people shot to death in a camper on Feb. 8, as well as the placement of the bodies in the vehicle, indicate that it was likely two consecutive murders and one suicide. This is reported by the prosecutor’s office. The state prosecution also provided information about the legally owned weapons of three of the victims.
The information that we first reported to you in “Po sveta i wy nas” has been confirmed, that in the case of the camper found in “Okolchitsa”, it is most likely two murders – with a high degree of probability, it can be assumed that Ivaylo Kalushev first shot Nikolay Zlatkov and the 15-year-old boy who was with them, and then committed suicide. The prosecutor’s office also confirmed that three shell casings and three projectiles, which were made with a Colt revolver, were found in the camper.
A Glock pistol was also found in the camper, and both weapons were legally owned by Ivaylo Kalushev. It also becomes clear that Kalushev has a permit to own the two combat pistols, which was issued on November 1, 2021.
It turns out that a few months earlier – in August 2021, the Ministry of Internal Affairs issued Ivaylo Ivanov a permit to use the impressive 16 firearms.
In February 2023, Nikolay Zlatkov also received a permit to own a combat pistol. At the Institute of Forensic Science, work continues on the ballistics examinations of all weapons found. A DNA analysis of the biological material found on the weapons is also being conducted.
Four more mobile phones and a laptop were found in the camper, they were also assigned expertise.
