DPR Ratifies Revised Criminal Procedure Code into Law

Jakarta – The Revised Criminal Procedure Code (RKUHAP) has officially been passed into law by the DPR after undergoing a number of discussions at Commission III of the DPR.The Level II decision-making regarding the Criminal Procedure Code was carried out at the 8th plenary session of the second session of the 2025-2026 session year.

The ratification of the Criminal Procedure Code took place in the DPR plenary room, parliament complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (18/11/2025).The plenary session was chaired by the Speaker of the DPR, Puan Maharani, who was also accompanied by the Deputy Chairs of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, Adies Kadir, and Saan Mustopa.

The DPR plenary session was also attended by Minister of Law and Justice Supratman Andi Agtas, Deputy Minister of state Secretary Bambang Eko Suhariyanto, and Deputy Minister of Law and Law Edward Omar Sharif hiariej. A total of 242 members attended the meeting.
