Duke LifePoint healthcare and its Facilities

Harris Regional Hospital, located in Sylva, North Carolina, and swain Community Hospital, in Bryson City, North Carolina, are both integral parts of Duke LifePoint Healthcare. Duke LifePoint Healthcare is a joint venture established in 2011 between Duke Health and LifePoint Health. This partnership combines the clinical expertise of Duke health with LifePoint Health’s operational and financial strength to deliver high-quality healthcare across a network of hospitals.

Artman’s Background and Experience

Artman’s career in nursing began at Harris Regional Hospital in 2007, where she initially served as a certified nursing assistant. She furthered her education and became a registered nurse in 2009. As then, she has steadily progressed into clinical and nursing leadership roles within both the Duke LifePoint and LifePoint Health systems.

Prior to her current appointment, Artman served as the assistant CNO at Northeastern Nevada regional Hospital in Elko, Nevada, for two years. Most recently, she held the position of senior nursing officer for Harris Regional and Swain Community Hospital, beginning in early 2025, preparing her for this expanded role.
