André Hazes launches reality series André Hazes: In Nu
Dutch singer André Hazes has launched his new reality series, André Hazes: And Now…, which premiered on RTL 5 and Videoland. The show shifts focus from the heavy subjects of his past documentaries to the positive developments in his current life, including moving in with his girlfriend Noa Braaf, coaching his son’s soccer team, and repairing his relationship with his sister Roxeanne.
Direct approach to the new reality series
Hazes personally approached Videoland to pitch the project because he grew tired of the heavy tone of his previous programs. In an interview, he explained that earlier documentaries like André Hazes: Crossroads and André Hazes: The Next Chapter focused heavily on his addiction struggles between 2020 and 2022. While those projects started positively, they always ended on a dark note. With a nine-year-old son watching, Hazes wanted to record a more joyful period of his life.
Reflecting on the debut of the first episodes, Hazes shared that his direct messages were filling up with positive stories from viewers who had already tuned in. He noted that everything he had made up to that point carried a negative undertone, pointing specifically to André Hazes: Crossroads and how those projects always concluded negatively. He stated that he was a bit tired of seeing those images of himself and wanted his nine-year-old son to look back later with his own children and see that his father also had a fun, enjoyable life. Hazes also mentioned that he was already looking past the first season, noting that he expected calls about it immediately following the premiere.

Noa Braaf adjusts to life on camera
Noa Braaf appears prominently in the series as she gradually moves in with the singer, though she initially found the setup challenging. Braaf and Hazes first met eight years ago when she was 17 and he was 24, but they did not begin a romantic relationship until they reconnected in 2025 and made it official in November of that year. Hazes admitted in his ADHazes podcast that Braaf found it uncomfortable having a cameraploeg over the floor and “found it hentemal niets” at first. By the end of filming, however, she grew entirely comfortable with her role.
When she and Hazes first met, the reality production had already been planned, and he made it clear once their relationship turned serious that she would appear in the program. While she initially had to swallow hard at the prospect, she eventually grew completely into her role and even stated during the final days of filming that she found it disappointing the production was nearly finished. Beyond moving in, the series follows Hazes as he learns how to cook, undertakes various activities with his friend group, and handles a schedule that can sometimes be chaotic.

Protecting his son’s privacy
While Hazes leaves little behind closed doors regarding his adult life, he maintains strict boundaries concerning his son, Dré. As noted, the face of his nearly ten-year-old son is blurred in all scenes, a practice Hazes and the boy’s mother, Monique Westenberg, have maintained since Dré was two years old. Hazes wants his son to decide for himself whether he wants public exposure once he is old enough. Meanwhile, Westenberg herself will also make appearances in the series, given that she and Hazes maintain regular contact regarding their son.
Westenberg is accustomed to cameras, and because they regularly communicate and spend time together around their son, her appearance in the program happens naturally whenever the camera crew happens to be present during those moments.

André Hazes series airs on RTL 5 and streaming platforms
André Hazes: And Now… broadcasts every Thursday at 20:30 on RTL 5, according to sources. Viewers can also stream episodes on platforms including NLZIET and Videoland.
Hazes shows vulnerability and restores bond with sister Roxeanne
Holding back very little for the cameras, Hazes appears almost naked in the series, remarking that he no longer cares and has already lived through the worst experiences. At the same time, he noted that he is still searching for the right boundary with his jokes to find his final piece of balance. The series also captures the restored bond between Hazes and his sister Roxeanne, showing their families going on vacation together, which offers viewers a close look at how the family interacts now.
