Charity Evening Raises Over €4,000 for Perpignan Hospital Pediatrics Unit

A recent charity event, “Tots Junts” (meaning “all together”), organized by the association Marche et Nature, successfully raised €4,193 for the pediatrics section of Perpignan Hospital. The funds will be used to improve the comfort of hospitalized children and support families.

Solidarity in Action

The check was presented by Josie Oms, president of Marche et Nature, at a ceremony attended by local elected officials, association members, and representatives from the hospital’s pediatrics unit. The event, held at the Théodore-Berthomieu room in Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salanque, highlighted the community’s commitment to supporting healthcare for children.

“As president of Marche et Nature, I am proud and moved to be able to donate the funds collected during our annual show for the benefit of this section through the association du Soleil pour les enfants,” stated Josie Oms. She emphasized the importance of the collective effort, noting that “Tots junts” embodies the spirit of working together.

Impact of the Funds

The collected funds will specifically contribute to equipping children’s hospital rooms with comfortable chair beds. This will allow parents to stay with their children during hospitalization, providing crucial emotional support and reassurance. The association highlighted that the presence of a parent can significantly improve a child’s well-being during a demanding time.

About Marche et Nature and “Tots Junts”

Marche et Nature organizes the annual “Tots Junts” event as a key fundraising initiative. The event features performances by the troupe “Les Oiseaux de Nuit” and relies on the dedication of volunteers, sponsors, and community participation. The event is described as a spectacle reminiscent of Parisian cabarets, offering humor, imitation, and audience interaction.

In November 2024, Marche et Nature donated €10,450 raised from the “TOTS JUNTS” evening, animated by the Troupe les Oiseaux de Nuit, to the pediatrics department. The donation was presented to Madame Marie Félix, Head of the pediatric pole, along with a pediatrician and a nursery nurse.
