Publisher Weekend Games and independent British developer Upstream Arcade have announced Echobreaker, a precision speedrunning game set to launch on PC via Steam in 2026. The game centers around piloting an armored rig through challenging courses, emphasizing route optimization and high-speed combat.

Gameplay and Features

In Echobreaker, players take on the role of a pilot tasked by TDS Industries with completing test courses as quickly as possible. The gameplay focuses on tight execution, rapid resets and relentless optimization. Players can engage enemies to gain speed boosts or navigate courses as high-speed puzzles, seeking to shave seconds off their times.

A key mechanic is the Temporal Echo Drive, allowing players to sluggish time and execute difficult maneuvers. Power-ups and double-jumps further aid in achieving optimal runs.
