Ecovacs has launched the Deebot X12 robot vacuum cleaner with a new FocusJet technology designed to tackle stubborn stains more effectively.

The system begins by vacuuming, then projects heated water jets to soften dirt before a rotating mop pad cleans the surface, an upgrade from previous OZMO Roller systems.

The OZMO Roller 3.0 in the Deebot X12 features a 27-centimeter-wide mop pad, increasing surface coverage per pass compared to earlier models.

Users can select automatic cleaning, target specific zones via the app, or enable autonomous stain detection where the robot decides when to intensify cleaning on marks like coffee or food residue.

Obstacle and contour detection has been improved to enhance edge cleaning, while the mop automatically lifts on carpets to avoid wetting them.

Suction power reaches 22,000 Pa, with a redesigned airflow path that guides hair and pet fur toward the suction channel to reduce tangling.

The Deebot X12 OmniCyclone variant uses a bagless, cyclone-based dustbin system that Ecovacs estimates saves approximately 25 dust bags over five years of use.

The OmniCyclone model is available now at 1,299 euros ($1,410), while the standard Deebot X12 Pro Omni with a dustbag will ship in May at 1,199 euros ($1,310).

Retail prices across French retailers show the Deebot X12 Pro Omni listed at 1,099 euros on Boulanger.com, 1,199 euros on Amazon Marketplace, and 1,249 euros on Fnac.com, and Darty.com.

What is the key innovation in the Deebot X12’s cleaning system?

The key innovation is the FocusJet technology, which uses heated, pressurized water jets to pre-treat stains before the mop pad passes over them.
