EHC wetzikon Announces Extensive Contract Extensions for Players and Staff
WETZIKON, SWITZERLAND – January 9, 2026 – EHC Wetzikon has announced a significant wave of contract extensions, securing teh future of key players and essential staff members. The club expressed its enthusiasm for these commitments, stating that announcements of this nature are “especially fun.”
Twelve players have renewed their contracts with the team, ensuring continuity and stability within the roster.The extended players include Billy Hunziker, Rubio Schir, Ari Hochheuser, Tim Meier, Severin Karrer, Simon Brander, Matteo Fasciati, mauro Conradin, Till Etter, Timo Gysel, Filip Cap, Andrin Locher, and Nico Vieli. These athletes represent a core group of talent vital to the team’s ongoing success.
Beyond the players, EHC Wetzikon has also solidified its coaching and support staff. Ueli Blaser will continue as material manager, overseeing the team’s equipment and logistical needs. Daria Giezendanner remains on board as the team’s physiotherapist, providing crucial injury prevention and rehabilitation services. The goaltending position will continue to be guided by goalie coach Marc Klingler.Leadership on and off the ice is secured with the extensions of Head Coach Cédric Hüsler and Assistant Coach Dominique Pozzi.
