El Paso County Veterans Claims Clinic to Provide Free Benefits Assistance
El Paso County, Colorado, will host a Veterans Claims Clinic on Wednesday, March 19, 2026, offering free, one-on-one assistance to veterans, their dependents, and survivors with navigating VA benefits. The clinic will be held from 8:30 a.m. To 3:00 p.m. At the Fountain Police Department, located at 222 N. Santa Fe Avenue, Fountain, CO 80817.
What Services Will Be Available?
Accredited Veterans Service Officers (VSOs) will be available to provide guidance and support with a range of VA benefits, including:
- Disability compensation claims
- Pensions
- Other VA services
Walk-In Basis and Wait Times
The clinic will operate on a first-approach, first-served basis. Attendees should be prepared for potential wait times depending on the number of veterans seeking assistance.

In 2025, the El Paso County Division of Veterans Services provided extensive support to the veteran community, including:
- 83,760 client contacts (12,223 appointments/walk-ins, 44,316 phone calls, 23,764 emails, 3,457 outreach attendees)
- 4,824 total claims filed, including 662 Benefits Delivery at Discharge (BDD) claims
- 3,162 representation requests for VA claims assistance
