Elon Men’s Tennis Match Against Georgia Southern Rescheduled
ELON, NC – The Elon University men’s tennis match against Georgia Southern, originally scheduled for 4 p.m. On Friday, has been moved to 10 a.m. At the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center. The change is due to the potential for afternoon rain.
About the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center
The Jimmy Powell Tennis Center serves as the home for both the Elon University men’s and women’s tennis programs. The facility features 12 hard courts, arranged in bays of three, each enclosed by a 10-foot high, vinyl-coated fence with nine-foot polypropylene wind screens. Low-level lighting allows for evening play and each court is equipped with an intercom system. Elon University Athletics
A two-story pavilion at the center of the complex provides storage, a concession stand, and a viewing deck. The surrounding area is landscaped with shrubs, flowerbeds, and honey locust trees, complementing the permanent bleachers next to the two stadium courts. Playeasy
