Entre Ríos Governor Rogelio Frigerio has prioritized the reactivation of provincial public works, specifically targeting the completion of the La Baxada hospital in Paraná and the restoration of the Palacio San José. According to the provincial government, these projects are central to the administration’s strategy to modernize state infrastructure and improve public services through new administrative and financial frameworks.

Status of the La Baxada Hospital Project

The provincial government is moving to finalize the construction of the La Baxada "Doctora Teresa Ratto" hospital in Paraná. Hernán Jacob, the Minister of Planning and Infrastructure for Entre Ríos, confirmed that the executive project has advanced significantly.

The administration expects to transition the project into the contracting phase within the coming days. This move follows a series of cabinet meetings where Governor Frigerio reviewed the status of provincial portfolios to ensure that pending infrastructure commitments are either completed or firmly underway before the end of his term.

Restoration Plans for Palacio San José

The province has also taken direct responsibility for the restoration of the Palacio San José. This follows an agreement signed between the provincial government and the National Secretariat of Culture.

Minister Jacob stated that the administration is preparing to launch a public tender for the restoration works within the next 10 days. The site, a landmark of historical and cultural significance, serves as a focal point for the province’s current efforts to preserve patrimonial infrastructure.

Infrastructure and Administrative Modernization

Beyond specific building projects, the provincial government is addressing the state of national roads within the territory, with a particular focus on Route 127. The province is currently negotiating the transfer of maintenance and repair responsibilities for this route to provincial jurisdiction, contingent upon securing national financing schemes.

Simultaneously, the administration is implementing broad administrative reforms:

  • Sigap Deployment: The Integrated Public Administration Management System (Sigap) is currently being rolled out across the Ministry of Health to modernize internal processes.
  • Juvenile Justice Reform: Officials are evaluating the technical and operational requirements necessary to implement the new provincial juvenile criminal regime.

These initiatives are part of a broader push by Governor Frigerio’s cabinet to streamline state operations while addressing the backlog of infrastructure projects across Entre Ríos.
