# European Shares Open Mixed Amid Rate Decisions and French Budget Talks
European shares opened mixed on Friday, as investors digested a swathe of interest rate decisions and looked ahead to crunch budget talks in France.
Teh pan-European Stoxx 600 was little changed by 8:25 a.m. in London, with most major regional bourses trading flat.
Looking at individual stocks, sportswear giants Puma and Adidas were 1.9% and 0.7% lower, respectively, as concerns about U.S. rival Nike‘s performance spilled over to companies across the Atlantic.
Although Nike reported better-than-expected quarterly earnings, its shares fell overnight after the company warned of slowing sales growth.
