Dario Maresic Joins Hajduk Split from NK Istra

Split, Croatia – February 18, 2026 – Croatian First League club Hajduk Split has officially signed defender Dario Maresic from NK Istra, the club announced on Wednesday. Maresic joins Hajduk on a contract extending through 2029.

Maresic, a former LASK Linz player, spent three and a half years with NK Istra, making 119 appearances for the club. He was a key player for Istra, serving as captain and contributing to their strong season.

At Hajduk Split, Maresic will reunite with head coach Gonzalo Garcia, with whom he previously worked at NK Istra.

The defender began his career at SK Sturm Graz, playing 21 matches for the Austrian club, and also represented the Austrian U21 national team. He later played for Stade Reims in France before joining NK Istra.
