FC Barcelona to Prioritize Season Ticket Holders for Spotify Camp Nou Capacity Increase

FC Barcelona has announced that its season ticket holders will be given priority access to the approximately 14,000 recent seats becoming available in the North Stand (Phase 1C) of the Spotify Camp Nou. This decision underscores the club’s commitment to its members, who are considered the foundation of the institution and its unique ownership model.

Progressive Reopening and Seat Allocation

The club is awaiting final approval from the Barcelona City Council to activate Phase 1C of the stadium’s renovation. Approval is anticipated in early March. Once granted, 100% of the increased capacity from this phase will be allocated to existing season ticket holders.

The expected price range for these season tickets, should the return to the stadium occur at the beginning of March, will be between €160 and €264, depending on the seat location. The club will soon open a process allowing season ticket holders to apply for their seats in advance, with specific deadlines to be communicated through official club channels.

Espai Barça and Sustainable Mobility

The reopening of the Spotify Camp Nou is part of the larger Espai Barça project, a comprehensive modernization of the club’s facilities. FC Barcelona has also launched a Sustainable Mobility Plan in conjunction with the Barcelona City Council to improve access to and departure from the stadium, prioritizing sustainable transportation options for fans and minimizing disruption to local residents. More information on the Sustainable Mobility Plan is available on the FC Barcelona website.

Recent Developments and Stadium Capacity

The Spotify Camp Nou partially reopened in November 2025, hosting Athletic Club in a La Liga match. Spotify Newsroom details the stadium’s reopening. The initial phase of reopening accommodated nearly 46,000 fans across the Main Stand, South Goal and Lateral stands. The stadium is expected to eventually hold nearly 105,000 spectators upon completion of the Espai Barça project.

City Council Approvals and Licensing

As of February 19, 2026, Barcelona is awaiting final authorization from the City Council for Phase 1C. Tribuna.com reports on the imminent approval. Previously, in August 2025, representatives from the City Council visited the stadium to review renovation progress, but the final works certificate and initial occupancy license were still pending. Mundo Deportivo provides details on the August 2025 City Council visit.
