The Washington Capitals secured a 5-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks, ending a two-game losing streak and extending Anaheim’s winless streak to six games. This was Washington’s first win of the season against Anaheim.
Martin Fehérváry played a key role, starting on the first defensive pair alongside John Carlson. He logged 20:13 minutes of ice time, recording two plus points, two shots, two penalty minutes, and two blocked shots.
Fehérváry earned his first assist of the game in the 29th minute, contributing to Alexander Ovechkin’s goal that put the Capitals ahead 5-1. this goal allowed Ovechkin to surpass Gordie Howe for the most goals scored in home games in NHL history.

The New York Rangers lost 3-2 to the Utah team in overtime, marking their 14th home loss of the season.The Rangers have only earned 14 points at home, the fewest in the Eastern Conference, and second-fewest in the league overall (only Vancouver has fewer with 11 points).
Goaltender Igor Šestorkin was replaced by Jonathan Quick in the 13th minute.
Utah bounced back from a loss to New Jersey, earning four points from a three-game road trip, having previously defeated the New York Islanders.
Red Wings Top Senators in High-Scoring Affair
The detroit Red Wings defeated the Ottawa Senators 5-3, despite being outshot 38-20. Detroit built a 3-0 lead in the first period, and although Ottawa narrowed the gap, they couldn’t complete the comeback.
Ottawa has now lost four of their last six games. James Van Riemsdyk led the Red Wings with a goal and two assists for three points.
Kraken Continue Winning Streak, Shut Out Flames
The Seattle Kraken defeated the Calgary Flames 4-0, extending their winning streak to three games and their record to seven wins in the last eight games.
Calgary took an early lead with a goal from Adam Klapka in the 7th minute, but Seattle dominated the rest of the game. Goaltender Philipp Grubauer was instrumental in the victory, allowing only one goal on 42 shots, achieving a 97.62% save percentage. Grubauer’s performance was crucial in securing the shutout.
The Flames have lost two consecutive games and are three points behind the Los Angeles Kings for the second wild card spot in the Western conference. the Kings defeated the Minnesota Wild 4-2,marking their second win against Minnesota in three days.
