Fenerbahçe Prepares Transfer Bid for Real Madrid Forward Brahim Diaz
Fenerbahçe has launched a major transfer operation to sign Real Madrid forward Brahim Diaz, targeting the Moroccan international as a high-profile addition to its attacking lineup. The pursuit brings together contrasting valuations from multiple outlets. Meanwhile, Star highlighted interest from Italian side Juventus, noting that the Turkish club aims to outpace competitors through aggressive financial terms.
Playing Time at Real Madrid and International Status
According to Son Dakika, Diaz has logged just 178 minutes on the pitch across four total appearances, comprising three matches in La Liga and one in the UEFA Champions League. Star added that the 27-year-old attacker contributed one assist in those outings. On the international front, Diaz represents the Morocco national team. Son Dakika noted that the player previously appeared in a June 2021 friendly for Spain against Lithuania. Because that appearance was in a non-competitive fixture, FIFA regulations allowed Diaz to switch his international allegiance to Morocco, whose federation’s call-up he subsequently accepted.
Financial Proposals and Market Competition
The race for the attacking midfielder involves competing reports regarding his salary and valuation. Star cited coverage from Infosportma stating that Fenerbahçe dangled a 10 million euro salary to attract the player, while Son Dakika detailed a separate club plan to submit a 30 million euro formal transfer fee directly to Real Madrid.
Juventus remains active in the pursuit, according to Star, creating a competitive market environment alongside the Süper Lig side. A Spor noted that Fenerbahçe’s management addressed the swirling transfer rumors through statements to the Spanish press, though Brahim Diaz’s ultimate stance remains unconfirmed as European scouts monitor his contract situation in Madrid.
