Feyenoord Considers Technical Director to Alleviate Pressure on Dennis te Kloese

Feyenoord is evaluating the possibility of appointing a new technical director to support General Manager Dennis te Kloese, whose current dual role is facing scrutiny due to recent sporting disappointments and perceived shortcomings in the latest transfer window.

Investment Not Translating to On-Field Success

Despite a significant investment of nearly €58 million in player acquisitions last summer, several signings – including Sem Steijn, Gonçalo Borges, Casper Tengstedt and Gaoussou Diarra – have yet to deliver the anticipated impact.

Plamen Andreev, Chris-Kévin Nadje, Jaden Slory, and Stéphano Carrillo are also scheduled to rejoin after their loan periods conclude. The loan deals of Malcolm Jeng and Steven Benda will expire, as will the contracts of Raheem Sterling who recently joined on a short-term deal and Gernot Trauner. The technical management will be tasked with evaluating which players will be retained and who will be allowed to depart.

Recent Transfer Activity

Feyenoord recently confirmed the signing of former England international Raheem Sterling on a short-term deal, following his departure from Chelsea in late January. Transfermarkt reports Sterling made a €64 million move to Manchester City from Liverpool.

Feyenoord currently holds a positive transfer balance of approximately €65 million, according to discussions on Reddit, though the allocation of these funds remains a point of interest.
