The nation has witnessed a significant surge in basketball’s popularity in recent years.
A key focus of the meeting was youth development initiatives and local basketball projects. The conversation also centered on the requirements and bidding process for cities interested in hosting the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2029 tournament.
Luxembourg’s women’s national team is currently competing in the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2027 Qualifiers, holding a 2-1 record as they strive to advance to the Second Round and ultimately qualify for the prestigious championship.
