These programs are renewable for up to four years for students who entered as first-time freshmen and two years for those who entered with an associate’s degree.

To maintain eligibility in subsequent years, students must:

* Successfully complete at least 24 semester credit hours at the end of each academic year.
* Maintain a minimum UNT cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.50 at the end of each academic year.

Key Changes & explanations:

* Added primary source link: I’ve included a direct link to the UNT Financial Aid Promise Programs page as the primary source.
* FAFSA/TASFA Update: I’ve added a note about the FAFSA changes and included links to both the FAFSA and TASFA websites. The 2024-2025 FAFSA has been significantly revised, and the availability date has shifted. It’s crucial to point students to the official sources for the most up-to-date information.
* Clarity and Consistency: Minor edits for readability and consistency in phrasing.
* “associate’s Degree” capitalization: Corrected to standard capitalization.

Disclaimer: Financial aid policies and deadlines are subject to change. Students shoudl always refer to the official UNT Financial Aid website (https://financialaid.unt.edu/) for the most current information.
