The blaze, which broke out in the southwest terminal used for domestic departures, prompted a full-scale evacuation and disrupted 14 flights, according to airport officials.

A fire and emergency (FENZ) investigation confirmed the fire started in wiring within a wall cavity in the southwest terminal, as reported by RNZ.
