Running With Scissors Announces Psychological Horror Shooter, Flesh & Wire

TUCSON, Ariz. – Feb. 25, 2026 – Running With Scissors, the creator of the POSTAL series, announced its first-ever spinoff title, Flesh & Wire. The dark and violent game, a return to POSTAL’s original themes, is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and GOG in 2027, as revealed during the IGN Fan Fest showcase.

A Twisted Tale of Revenge

Flesh & Wire casts players as Angel, an ordinary college student thrust into a fever dream of conspiracy, blood and vengeance. Accompanied by her cat, Solomon, Angel finds herself at odds with law enforcement, the military, and a mysterious cult as she seeks retribution against the protagonist of the original POSTAL game, known only as the Postal Dude.

The game’s narrative follows Angel as she pursues the Postal Dude across Arizona, confronting past traumas and navigating the “Dreamscape”—a surreal, hallucinatory state where memories, monsters, and reality blur into a grotesque nightmare.

Gameplay and Features

Players will utilize a brutal arsenal, including firearms, explosives, improvised weapons, and “otherworldly artifacts,” to overcome enemies and uncover the truth. The game promises grotesque visions, a disturbing world, and varied locations ranging from familiar city streets to desolate mountains. Players will also be able to document their discoveries in a “Journal,” uncovering secrets and hidden recordings.

A Return to Roots

According to Vince Desi, founder of Running With Scissors, Flesh & Wire represents a return to the studio’s psychological horror roots. “With POSTAL, we’ve explored satire and our own sense of humor,” Desi stated in a press release. “Now with Flesh & Wire, we’re returning to our dark, psychological horror roots—another genre we trailblazed.”

Availability and Platforms

Flesh & Wire will launch on PC via Steam and GOG, as well as PlayStation 5, in 2027. Russian localization has been confirmed.
