Cinzia Vaccari Presents “Tutti assolti tranne il cane” with Theatrical Performance in Florence

Florence, Italy – Poet, actress, and painter Cinzia Virginia Vaccari will present her poetic anthology, “Tutti assolti tranne il cane” (All acquitted except the dog), with a unique theatrical performance at the Salvemini Bookshop in Florence on Wednesday, February 25th, at 5:30 PM.

The collection, comprised of 52 poems and a short story, has garnered several accolades, including the first prize for Poetic Anthology at the KHALO WOOLF D’ARCO LITERARY AWARD 2024, third place and a special mention at the LEOPOLD SEDAR SENGHOR INTERNATIONAL AWARD 2024, and recognition as a finalist at both the IL FEDERICIANO award 2024 and the MARIO LUZI INTERNATIONAL AWARD 2025.

A Non-Traditional Presentation

Vaccari has opted for a performance-based presentation, diverging from typical book readings. She explains her decision, stating that poetry should stand on its own merit, without the need for extensive introductions or critical analysis. “If the poem is self-explanatory and able to make itself understood, then it will have achieved its purpose,” Vaccari said. She has intentionally omitted textual notes, allowing readers to interpret the work freely, even if inspired by existing literature or film.

The Performance

The presentation will be a 30-minute theatrical monologue incorporating Vaccari’s poems alongside excerpts from authors such as Charles Bukowski, Jonathan Coe, Sarah Kane, Efraim Medina Reyes, Henry Miller, and Wislawa Szymborska.
