Heightened Vigilance Across South Florida

Temple Beth Emet in Cooper City, Florida, is among the institutions bolstering security, according to Lewis Nadel, the synagogue’s executive vice president. “Unfortunately, right now with what’s going on in the world, we’ve had to enhance security and capture additional measures,” Nadel stated. Broward County Sheriff’s Office has increased patrols throughout the county, coordinating with state and federal partners. The increased security follows an attack on Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, on Thursday.
