Black Forest Labs releases FLUX.2 Image Generation Models

Black Forest Labs – a research lab focused on visual AI – today released the FLUX.2 family of image generation models.

FLUX.2 includes new tools and features. It can create many similar images with realistic detail and clear text, even when making lots of images at once. The multi-reference feature is a key addition.

NVIDIA worked with Black Forest Labs and ComfyUI to make these models work well with NVIDIA GPUs. This lowers the amount of VRAM needed by 40% and speeds up performance by 40%.

You don’t need special software to use the models. They are available directly in ComfyUI.

State-of-the-Art Visual Intelligence

Images from FLUX.2 look realistic, even at a large size (up to 4 megapixels). They use real-world lighting and physics to avoid the typical “AI look.”

The models let you directly control the pose of peopel or objects in the image.They also create clear, readable text in images, including charts, screens, and different languages. The new multi-reference feature lets artists use up to six images to keep a consistent style or subject, without needing to adjust the model a lot.
