Doctor Sentenced to 12 Years in Teen assault Case

A 54-year-old doctor was found guilty of rape and sexual assault of twelve out of thirteen teenagers he was on trial wiht as November 17th before the Hérault criminal court. He received a twelve-year prison sentence and is banned from practicing medicine.

“I know that for me,medicine is over,over,and that’s good.I fully misled myself, all alone, I trusted what seemed certain to me, and I got carried away, forgetting the significant values of medicine, like respect for others,” he said.

Just before the court began deliberations on Friday in montpellier, Doctor Philippe Moulin apologized and described the impact of the trial on him.

“This week allowed me to break the mirror of my beliefs and become aware,” said the 54-year-old,who had previously tried to justify his actions with medical explanations.
