Former Radio Host Dan Brown Convicted of Child Sexploitation and Theft in Wisconsin
A former radio disc jockey pleaded no contest on Monday to multiple charges involving child sexploitation and business theft, WLUK reported. Lieburn, 40, who broadcast under the on-air name Dan Brown on 95.9 KISS-FM, was convicted of five counts of child sexploitation and one count of theft in a business setting exceeding $10,000.
Investigation Traced Snapchat Account to Howard Home
Police launched the investigation last May after receiving an online tip regarding a video of child sexual abuse material shared through a Snapchat account. Investigators tied the profile to Lieburn and executed a search warrant at the Howard home where he lived with his parents. Authorities seized his cellphone, which contained the Snapchat account linked to the illicit material.
During questioning, Lieburn admitted to viewing and sending the video. I have been addicted to young, teenage boys since I was about 17 years of age,
he stated in the criminal complaint. I am sorry for what I have done. I believe I need some mental health help for my problem.
Embezzlement From U.S. Junior Curling Association
Beyond the sexploitation charges, court records show Lieburn was convicted of stealing nearly $14,000 from the U.S. Junior Curling Association. Investigators found that Lieburn managed the nonprofit organization’s Square payment account between 2021 and 2024. He failed to transfer all proceeds generated from camps, clinics, and merchandise sales directly into the organization’s official bank account.
