An extremely violent attack. Friday February 6, a man was lynched in the 8th arrondissement of Lyon. The events occurred in broad daylight, around 3 p.m., according to Lyon Mag. The victim, aged around forty, was attacked in the parking lot of a residence on rue du Professor Beauvisage.
An open investigation
A gang made up of around ten young individuals targeted him before beating him up, for reasons that remain to be determined. The man was knocked to the ground, where the blows continued. He was rescued before being transferred to hospital. Seriously injured, he is in a state of absolute emergency. The attackers are on the run. An investigation was opened to find them.
This new attack comes as other acts of violence arouse indignation in Lyon. On January 31, a 19-year-old young man, named Théo, was lynched in the lobby of his building by a group of minors aged 14 to 15. CCTV cameras recorded the events. A classmate of Théo’s, Ethan, also reported a similar attack of which he was the victim, on the tram tracks, at the end of December. “It wasn’t just an assault or a simple theft. It was a real beating. I saw myself die because these young people jumped on my head with both feet”he testified to CNews.
