Coleraine, Co Derry – A murder investigation is underway in Coleraine following the death of 43-year-old Wayne reid. Police have confirmed the arrest of five individuals in connection with the case.
Mr. Reid was discovered at a residence in the Society Court area on Monday adn was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities instantly launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
To date, police have apprehended three women and two men, ranging in age from 28 to 41. All five individuals are currently in police custody, where they are being questioned on suspicion of murder. A 33-year-old man was initially arrested on Wednesday and remains in custody.
Investigators are exploring the possibility that Mr. Reid was involved in an altercation in coleraine in the days preceding the finding of his body. Detectives are appealing to anyone with information regarding this potential altercation, or any other details related to the investigation, to come forward.
The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as they become available. Police are maintaining a visible presence in the Society Court area to reassure local residents.
