Fred Again.. Stages UK Electronic Music Reunion with Underworld and The Streets at Alexandra Palace

Fred again.., the acclaimed British DJ and producer, delivered a memorable performance at Alexandra Palace in London last week, featuring surprise appearances from electronic music pioneers Underworld and UK grime legend Mike Skinner of The Streets. The shows, held on Thursday, February 12th and Friday, February 13th, were part of Fred again..’s four-night USB002 residency at the iconic venue.

A Night of Generational Collaboration

The performances were lauded for bringing together multiple generations of UK music, blending electronic, grime, and rap influences. On Friday, February 13th, Fred again.. Was joined on stage by D Double E and JME, performing tracks like ‘Serious’, ‘Victory Lap Five’, and ‘That’s Not Me’. Mike Skinner then took to the mic for ‘Has It Come To This’, later joined by JME for ‘Turn The Page’.

Underworld’s Surprise Set

The highlight of the night for many was the unexpected appearance of Underworld, who performed their classic tracks ‘Two Months Off’, ‘Kittens’, and the iconic ‘Born Slippy (Nuxx)’. Fred again.. Expressed his admiration for the duo, stating, “We are standing on a lot of shoulders tonight. There are no one we need to thank more than these two gentlemen stood next to me right now. Following the shows, Fred again.. Shared his thoughts on Instagram, emphasizing the significance of the collaborations. He wrote, “This weekend I got to play with some of the absolute pillars of UK music. It was a moment where some of the most important elements in UK music came together, and it was a real honor to be standing there, witnessing it and being a part of it.” He as well recounted a humorous exchange with Tony, a member of Underworld, who expressed his amazement at the lineup.
