Sports fans don’t want to scroll through a hundred channels to find the game. They want the guide to already know them, said Cathy Rasenberger, co-founder of Sports Studio. Sports Studio has completed a migration of its Free Live Sports streaming service to the Gizmott over-the-top platform developed by Gizmeon.

Free Live Sports Moves to Gizmeon Platform

The transition brings an artificial intelligence-driven electronic programme guide to the free, ad-supported streaming television service. Free Live Sports carries 125 sports FAST channels in total. Traditional static grids force viewers to scroll past numerous options positioned below the fold. The newly integrated Gizmott software observes individual viewing habits and automatically reorders channels for each specific user.

Combat sports fans, football enthusiasts, and motorsports viewers now open the application to entirely distinct layouts tailored to their preferences. Firoze Moosakutty, CEO of Gizmeon, noted that sports audiences are among the most engaged viewers in streaming and that the service serves as a showcase for Gizmott’s discovery capabilities.

Platform will introduce sports feed and interactive tools

Beyond the personalized channel guide, the platform will soon introduce a vertical feed featuring recent sports highlights, clips, and commentary. This feed will remain scrollable across both mobile devices and connected television applications. Developers are also building interactive remote-control features designed to shift lean-back viewing into an active experience.

These engagement tools aim to create fresh advertising inventory within the broadcast stream. Rasenberger noted that the partnership serves as the structural foundation for upcoming sport verticals and interactive tools that allow viewers to participate beyond standard observation.
