Congress Avenue Block Party

New for 2026, the Congress Avenue Block Party offers a free space for festival attendees and Austin residents to connect. The event, held daily from 11 a.m. To 7 p.m. Along Congress Avenue (900 Congress Ave), features free food, drinks, and swag.

Art & Culture

Flatstock

Flatstock showcases fine poster art from artists worldwide, offering attendees the chance to view artwork and meet the creators. The event takes place from March 13-15, from 10 a.m. To 5 p.m. At the Austin Marriott Downtown (304 E. Cesar Chavez St).

Black Makers Market

The Black Makers Market will spotlight over 40 Black-owned businesses offering art, fashion, beauty, wellness, and other products, celebrating Black creativity and culture. It will be held on March 14 from 12-4 p.m. At the Carver Museum (1165 Angelina St).

Music & Entertainment

KUTX Live at Scholz Garten

Tune-Yards at Auditorium Shores

SXSW Pickle Party

Grillo’s Pickles hosts its fourth annual St. Pickles Day, co-sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon and Camp Snap Camera, on March 15 from 1 p.m. To midnight at 1502 E. Sixth St. Attendees can enjoy free pickles and hot dogs, live screen-printing workshops, and flash tattooing.

Hair of the Three-Legged Dog Day Party

The Hair of the Three-Legged Dog party, held at Hotel Vegas (1502 E. Sixth St.) on March 13 from 12-4 p.m., honors Hank, the Austin Chronicle’s beloved three-legged pooch. The event features tacos, drinks, and supports Austin Pets Alive.

Just Southwest of Official
